Viola Edith Huff was the daughter of Amos Huff and Elizabeth Buchanan.

She was the stepdaughter, as well as the niece, of Omer Huff, the younger brother of Amos.

She married Roy Fry, son of Charles F. Fry and Catherine ("Katie") Shelly, ca 1915; they were married until his death on July 15, 1933. The couple had one adopted child, a son, namely:

Roy Edward Fry (1922-1942).

Mrs. Viola E. Fry, 89, W. Fourth St., died Sunday in Orchard Glen Nursing Home after a long illness.
She was born April 12, 1884, in Wawaka, Ind., the daughter of Omer [sic-Amos] and Elizabeth (Buchanan) Huff. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, three sisters and seven brothers.
There are no immediate survivors.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. The Rev. James Molloy will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with the rosary at 8 p.m. in the funeral home."
