LAWSON, DOLORES Y., 71, of Louisville passed away Friday, March 8, 2019 after prevailing over Parkinson’s for 12 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Michael (Cecilia) and Jason (Stefany); grandchildren: Joshua, Christina, Trevor, Landon, and Alyssa; great grandchildren: Marley, Jacen and Elijah; siblings: MaryAnn Willinger, Gayle (Joe) Martin, and John (Cindy) Young; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 38 years, Steve Lawson; parents, Charles and Lucille Young; sister, MaryRita Young, and brother, Charles “Buddy” Young.
Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. Dolores, retired from Bellsouth, was an avid quilter and baker. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Fern Creek Homemakers and founding member of the “Stitch Bitches”. Words cannot express the huge void left in the lives of those who have been blessed to know her.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Tuesday March 12th at Holy Family Church (3926 Poplar Level Rd, Louisville,Ky, 40213) With Burial to follow at St. Michael Cemetery.V
