Mrs. Rebecca Powell, widow of the late Robert Powell, died at the home of her son-in-law, Dr. Henry Connelly, at Shelbyville, last night, aged about eighty years. Her death was due to a fall she received a year go last December, when her hip was broken, and she has been confined to her bed ever since. The funeral will be conducted from the Hartsville Methodist church Saturday morning at eleven o'clock, conducted by the Rev. E. I. LaRue. Burial will be in the old College cemetery. William Powell, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Josephine Connelly, of Shelbyville are the only children of the deceased. Mrs. Powell lived in Hartsville a number of years, and was well known throughout the county.
