Jessefy was the 5th child born to William and Sarah (Weddle) Kelley. She married Joel Houston Proctor in Johnson Co. IL on Apr. 24, 1873. They had 3 children: Daisy, Thaddeus, and unnamed infant son. Daisy was married to John Andrew Grisham.
Jessefy's obit. stated that she was born in TN. and moved to IN. as a small child. Her death certificate also said she was born in TN, but every one of the census records states she was born in Indiana. All of her siblings were born in Gibson Co., IN.
She had 3 brothers John Riley, Isaac N., and Calvin G. She had 1 sister Elizabeth. She was known by several family members as "Aunt Coon."
