Born March 30, 1936, in Rutherford County, NC; a daughter of the late Earl J. W. Epley (1914–1988) and Inas Foye Tipton Epley (1915–2002); wife of the late Jerry Winburn Bridges (1932–2016).
Worked in textiles for many years, was a member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, enjoyed gardening, and loved watching and feeding the birds, especially the Cardinals that visited her yard.
Survivors include her son, Scott Bridges; sister, Donna E. Jackson (Scott); sister-in-law, Alice Kerr; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Also predeceased by a brother, Larry Gene Epley (1947–2016).
Graveside service held at 2:00, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Wilkins officiating.
The family received friends following the graveside service.
