Jimmie Corder Miller, 70, of Tallahassee died January 25, 2019.
Jimmie was born in Somerset, Kentucky and had lived in Tallahassee, Florida for the past 46 years. She was employed with Leon County Schools as an elementary teacher for 35 years including at Ruediger Elementary, Bond Elementary and Killearn Lakes Elementary.
Survivors include her sons, Jim Hranicky and Chip Hranicky and his wife Becky; step-children, Melinda Cook; Joe Miller; Nick Miller and his wife Rachel; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers, Bob Corder and Chuck Corder and her beloved dog Duke, that her best friend Betsy Brown has opened her home to. Jimmie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Lucy Flynn Corder; son, Gregory Corder Hranicky and husband, James Louis Miller.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue at www.angelsrescue.org or PO Box 821, Alpharetta, GA 30009 due to her love for dogs.
Jimmie has been cremated and her family will hold a joint service at 2:00pm on Saturday, March 9th at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road, celebrating her life as well as that of her late husband, Jim, who died January 8, 2019.
