Justin Lee Rogers, 19, of Mancelona, passed away on October 25, 2016. Justin was born on March 31, 1997, in Charlevoix, the son of Mary Bancroft and John Rogers. Justin resided in Traverse City for several years then moved to Mancelona where he attended Mancelona High School. He was an outdoor enthusiast and was often out in the woods hunting or fishing, riding dirt bikes, snowmobiles and sitting around a bon fire with his family and friends. He is survived by his mother Mary Orman (Matt Maciag) of Mancelona, his father, John Rogers of Traverse City, a brother, John Rogers II, sister Jaclyn Rogers, both of Mancelona, his maternal grandparents, Jack and Ramona Bancroft of Mancelona, paternal grandfather, William and Lynda Rogers of Mancelona, paternal grandmother Dolice Rogers of Traverse City, aunts and uncles, Mona and David Lock of Macomb, MI, Jack and Hiedi Bancroft of Mancelona, Brian Rogers of Traverse City and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his cousin and best friend David Lock. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Gerald Cook will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 p.m. also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to A.C. Paw, P.O. Box 94, Acme, MI, 49610. Arrangements are being handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
