Nicolaus Wolff was baptized on 28 July 1720 in Niederhochstadt, Palatinate (Germany), a son of Conrad Wolff and his first wife, Anna Margaretha ______.

He was confirmed in 1735.

He married Maria Elisabeth Bressler ("Elisabeth") on 25 January 1746 in Niederhochstadt, Palatinate (Germany).

He emigrated to Pennsylvania on the ship Janet in 1751, taking the prescribed oath in Philadelphia on 7 October 1751.

He removed to Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania by 1753, where he was known as Nicholas Wolf.

Yeoman (farmer) and blacksmith.

By 1767, he had a 100-acre farm in Bethel Township.

He died before 8 November 1784 (probate) in Bethel Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania.

His widow was still living on 15 December 1785.

Nicolaus Wolff (Nicholas Wolf) and Maria Elisabeth Bressler were the parents of four children, the first two of whom were born in Niederhochstadt, Palatinate (Germany) and the last two in Pennsylvania.

1. Johannes Wolff, b. 29 October 1746.
2. Valentin Wolff, b. 22 April 1750.
3. Carl Wolff, b. 20 October 1751.
4. Maria Margaretha Wolff, b. 22 September 1753.
