George Marion Hennessee, Jr., 81, Lawton passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at his home in Lawton. He was born August 31, 1937 in Lawton to George M. Sr. and Anna Beatrice (Bohanan) Hennessee. George graduated from Lawton High School in 1955. After graduation he briefly attended Oklahoma State University before heading to Idaho with the U.S. Forestry Service. He worked hard all of his life and retired from Billingsley Ford a few years ago. George “Shorty” was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed his fishing buddies and his weekend breakfast buddies, Larry Oliver, Keith Oliver and Craig Fraley. George was a great son, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin and friend. He will be missed so very much.

Survivors include his sister Rubena Wallis and husband Robert of Edmond, Oklahoma, nephews; Jeff Wallis and wife Robin of Edmond, Oklahoma, Joe Wallis and wife Krista of Moore, Oklahoma, Justin Wallis and wife Jennifer of Edmond, Oklahoma, Larry Sanchez and wife Vickie of California, his niece Suzette Sapp and husband Kenneth of Seminole, Oklahoma, his Godson Larry Oliver, great nephews; Rhett Wallis, Tyler Smith and wife Karen, Kyle DelCamp, Griffin Wallis, Cole Sanchez, Colin Sanchez and his great niece Riley Wallis.

George was preceded in death by his parents, sister Colleen Salazar and a brother Glen Dale Hennessee who died in infancy.

Graveside service: Monday, March 4, 2019 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Dr. William F. Watkins, Pastor of Locust Grove Baptist Church, Elgin, Oklahoma officiating.

Burial will be under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.
