LOCAL RESIDENT DIES TODAY IN HOME ON SPRUCE STREET

Mrs. Anna Ella Hazlett Akins aged 55 died at 5:30 this morning in her home at 320 Spruce street. A member of the First Methodist church of Vandergrift, she is survived by her husband George C. Akins; six daughters, Mrs.Earl George, Mrs. Edwin Long and Mrs. Robert Likehart of Vandergrift, Mrs. J. A. Cohlhepp of Dravosburg, Mrs. Raymond Shope of Meadville and Ella Jane Akins at home; four sons, Harry, Mervin and Veryl Akins of Vandergrift and Floyd Akins at home; 12 grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. M. P. Rosensteel of Vandergrift and Mrs. I. J. Woods of Apollo. Friends will be received at the Akins home at 320 Spruce street until Wednesday morning when the body will be removed to the Thompson funeral home at 274 Franklin avenue. Friends will be received here from 10 o'clock Wednesday morning until funeral services are held that afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Robert H. Little of the First Methodist Church of Vandergrift in charge.Burial will be in the Apollo cemetery.
