Mamie Rice Phillips, age 91, formerly of Jackson Towers, Campbellsville, died Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Grandview Nursing Home in Campbellsville. She was the daughter of the late William & Laura Dills Rice. She was preceded in death by: her husband Virgil Rufus Phillips, who passed away April 28, 1980, 2 sons, Harry and Joseph Phillips, 3 brothers and 1 sister, Clate, Vester and Edward Rice, and Violet Perkins. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Connie Phillips of Campbellsville, 2 daughters, Charolette Crouse of Springfield, IL and Kathleen Moore of Campbellsville, 1 daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Phillips, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother Adron Rice of Hebron, KY and 1 sister, Racheal Arnold of Missouri. Funeral services for Mamie Rice Phillips will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Phillips Cemetery, Bro. Wayne Brooks, officiating.
