Lawrence Lee Lehman, age 88, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Clay Center.
He was born August 1, 1930 in Goodland, KS to Herman and Christina (Boerger) Lehman. He was united in marriage to Lola Schumock on February 11, 1951 at Palmer, KS. They made their home in Linn until 1978, when they moved to Clay Center.
Lawrence worked for the dairies at Linn and area farmers. He worked 29 years for Kuhlman Motor Company, Linn, then Hutch-Mayrath and Clay Center Public Utilities from where he retired.
Lawrence enjoyed his Bike Shop at Linn, woodworking and crafts, fishing, spending time with his family and especially loved mowing lawns and helping his kids on the farms.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clay Center.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Lola, of the home, children: Ramey (Sharon) Lehman, Rose (Steven) Landis, Steven (Deb) Lehman, all of Clay Center.
Grandchildren:Tanya (Alan) VanWey, Jonathan (Melissa) Lehman, Nicholas (Sarah) Lehman, Melanie Landis, Jill (Nigel) Hanson, Marsha Landis, and Jacob Lehman.
Great –grandchildren: Judy and Martay VanWey, Katelyn, Dalton and Kodi Lehman, McKennon, Briscoe, Pistol and Granger Lehman, Darius and Derek Landis, Kaitlyn and Jessica Hagadorn, and Nathaniel Hanson.
Siblings: Kate Wilkens, Leroy (Elfrieda) Lehman, Louise Rahe, Ruth Simnitt, Pat Rahe, Bill (Cheryl) Lehman, Judy (John) Lotz.
In-laws: Donna Lehman, Judy (Lawrence) Riek, Jean Lehman, Dale Rippe, Lela Chaput and Lila Tiemeyer
Extended family: Todd, Cari, Brendan, Jaret, Adalyn, Eli Pfizenmaier and Dale Hull.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Herman and Christina Lehman, sisters: Dorothy Long, Betty Long, Lillian Rippe, Jeanette Hoerner, Mary Banninger, Helen Lehman, Ida Jane Lehman, brothers: Robert, Terry, Leonard and grandson: Ellis Lehman.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clay Center, KS.
Respect calls will be 3-8 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 4-6 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Lawrence Lehman Memorial Fund to be designated later c/o funeral home.
