Mrs. Maggie Bloomfield of Buna, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 88 years, 9 months, and 9 days.

Mrs. Bloomfield was born May 4, 1930, in Vidor, Texas, to parents Ira Braneff and Gracie Coleman Braneff.

She grew up and lived in the Vidor area during her early years, having been a resident of Buna for the past several years. Maggie had also been a former longtime resident of Carlisle, Texas. A longtime dedicated member of Buna United Pentecostal Church, Maggie enjoyed crocheting and cooking. Taking care of her family was at the top of her list as she was devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Her survivors include her son, Gerald Sarver and wife Debbie of Dam B, Texas; a daughter, Lisa McGallion and husband Elvis of Buna, Texas; brothers, Estil Braneff and wife Mary of Vidor, Texas, and Henderson Braneff and wife Mary Ellen of Vidor, Texas; a sister, Jean Gould of Vidor, Texas; ten grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arvel Bloomfield; and daughters, Linda McGallion and Billie Musgrove.

Services are set for 12:00 noon Saturday, February 16, 2019, at Buna United Pentecostal Curch, located at 116 County Road 833 (off U.S. Hwy. 96) in Buna, Texas, with Pastor Richard L. Dykes and Bro. Bobby Edwards officiating.

Interment will follow at Antioch Cemetery, located on FM 1004 near Buna, Texas.
