Mr. Watson was born on October 9, 1975 in Caldwell County to Barbara Ann Minton Watson and Tex “Chub” Stanley Watson. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as an upholsterer for Fairfield Upholstery. He was a loving son, husband and brother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Watson is preceded in death by a sister, Teresa Shuffler.
In addition to his parents, those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Elenor, of the home; a son, Gavin Watson, of Inverness, FL; a brother, Bobby Barnett of Lenoir; step-daughters, Christine Nicole Helton of Cleveland Co., NC and Megan Elizabeth Young of Fort Mills, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM, at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home and Crematory, conducted by Reverend Junior Hamby and Reverend Lane Hamby.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Wilkes County.
