Mrs. Watson was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord dearly.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 52 years, Tex Stanley Watson, of the home; one son, Bobby Barnette of Lenoir; three brothers, Namon Minton, Wayne Minton, and Mack Minton and wife Mary Jane, all of Lenoir; five sisters, Shirley Calloway and husband Claill of Hudson, Wanda Hamm, Bonnie Townsend, Diane Casper and husband Tommy, and Ruby Casper and husband David, all of Lenoir; four grandchildren, Bobbie Lee Barnette, Ashely Barnette, Gavin Watson, and Charlie Barnette; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Leonard Younce and Rev. Horace Minton. Interment will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Ferguson.
