To know her was to love her.....She will remain in all of our hearts forever. Sara Elizabeth Davidson passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 30th, 2017.

Sara was born on August 31st, 1942 in Beaumont, Texas to John Reginald (Cappy) and Barbara Rix. She graduated from Beaumont High School in 1960 and went on to attend the University of Texas in Austin. After meeting her husband Jerry, Sara followed her heart back to Beaumont to complete her final year of her college education at Lamar University where she earned a BS in elementary education. She soon began her years as an educator and was united in marriage to Jerry Davidson on May 27, 1964. They spent their 53 years of marriage together living in Beaumont, Victoria, Pleasanton and San Antonio.

Sara enjoyed teaching, reading, spending time with her grandchildren and watching basketball and football on television with her husband. The San Antonio Spurs and Baylor Bears were her absolute favorite teams. Sara was a loving wife, and a wonderful mother and Gigi. She always put the needs and wants of others above her own and considered her family her greatest accomplishment in life.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Lynn Davidson, and her children Lynn (Warren) Oliver of Victoria, Katherine (Jeff) Schaedler of San Antonio, Will (Andrea) Davidson of Boerne and Caroline (Russell) Green of Aledo. Sara's legacy also included 14 grandchildren who were her pride and joy; Justin Oliver, Cullen Oliver, Hudson Oliver, Mackenzie Davidson, Riley Davidson, Samantha Davidson, Austin Schaedler, Chase Schaedler, Cody Schaedler, Caylee Schaedler, Ian Oberholtzer, Jack Green, Ellie Grace Green, and Channing Green. She is also survived by her brother, John Rix and her sister, Barbara Rix. Last but not least, Sara was survived by her beloved dog, Buster who never left her side until the moment she passed. Serving as honorary pall bearers are: Wayne Beyer, Wayne Davidson, Jeff Schaedler, Wallace Ferguson and Jim Wynn.
