Lawrence Henry Sweet, age 67, of Comfort, Texas passed away on February 19, 2019 in Kerrville, Texas. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Lawrence A. Sweet and Claire E. Wentworth Sweet on July 18, 1951. He was married to Nancy A. Patrick on July 19th 1975 in Houston, Texas.

Depending on how and when you knew him in life he went by either Hank or Larry. In his youth, he and his family moved frequently resulting in a love of all things Texas and the ability to make friends quickly. He graduated from Spring High School in 1970. Following high school, he attended Texas A&M University where he double majored in History (because it was his passion) and Education (to meet pretty girls). He graduated in 1974. Following graduation Hank went to work alongside his father where he learned business and technical sales. He was an excellent salesman. His cheerful disposition and ability to make people feel valued helped him be successful in both business and in his personal life. Hank had a compassionate heart and enjoyed serving others. Many times he would return from working in a soup kitchen or homeless shelter missing a personal item or two because he felt someone needed it more than he did. He was a loving father and grandfather, dedicated son, caring brother, and a fierce friend.

Hank was preceded in death by his father Lawrence A. Sweet and his mother Claire E. Sweet.

Lawrence H. Sweet is survived by his ex-wife and dear friend Nancy Sweet, his children Jessica and Gary Fox, Sarah and Joshua Carroll, Julie Sweet, his sisters Beverly and Richard Schmidt and Tina Sweet, and his seven grandchildren Abigale, Asher, and Abram Fox, Jace and Carter Carroll, and Alex Gutierrez and Hunter Vorderbruegge.

A Memorial Service and Life Celebration will be held at 11:30am Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4655 South Shore Blvd., League City, Texas 77573.
