Actress. She was best known to film viewers as the "femme fatale" with a fiery temper and sensual dance scenes in various 1960s cult films. Born Isabel Apolonia García Hernández, she started dancing at the age of 17 in Havana and became famous for her sensual, exotic style at Cuba's National Theater in the city. She later went to Paris, France and was billed as the "new Josephine Baker" for her performances at the city's Folies Bergere. She made her "big screen" debut in the 1959 film "Sheba and the Gladiator". She would go on to appear in other films such as "The Pirate and the Slave Girl" (1959), "Goliath and the Barbarians" (1959), "Morgan, the Pirate" (1960), "Son of Samson" (1960), "La strada dei giganti" (1960), and "Son of Samson" (1961). After appearing in the film "Night of the Serpent" in 1969, she moved from films to Italian television. She left acting in 1986 after her husband passed away and continued to live in Italy until her passing.
