William Miller Jr., age 88, of Enterprise, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 in Abilene. Bill was born October 12, 1930, the son of William and Leatha (Sprinkel) Miller Sr. at his homestead in Enterprise.On December 29, 1950 Bill was united in marriage to Louise Marie Zey at St. Andrew’s Church in Abilene. They started their family, farmed and raised livestock west of Enterprise. Louise preceded him in death on June 2, 2013.Bill was a member of the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church for 69 years and the Abilene Elks Club for 60 years. He served on the Abilene Coop board, Grant Township board and served as a volunteer fireman with Grant Township.He was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters Lorene Smith and Seatha Miller (infant) and grandson Beau Miller. He is survived by his children Bill (Vicky) Miller, Enterprise, Cindy (Rod) Kalivoda, Manhattan, Jane (Casey) Foltz, Abilene, Suzie (Larry) Shankweiler, Manhattan, Joe (Anita) Miller, Enterprise, Katie (Tim) Wieters, Chapman; grandchildren Ann (Aaron), Steve (Tracie), Matt (Diana), Alex, Sam (Seanna), Joey (Bethany), Austin, Jillian (Bryson), Hannah (Ryan), Caylin (Thomas), Cole, Drew and great-grandchildren Dylon, Riley, Ella, Hadley, Abigail, Colin and Hardy. He is also survived by his brother Bruce Miller (Detroit KS); sisters Helen Cushing (Wichita, KS), Joan McLean (Las Vegas, NV) and many nieces and nephews.A Rosary will be held Wednesday, February 20th at 5:30 p.m. Danner Funeral Home, Abilene with visitation following the Rosary from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, February 21st at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Abilene. Bill’s final resting place will be in the Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Abilene. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s “Louise Miller Scholarship Fund”; Community Foundation of Dickinson County “Beau Miller Scholarship for Auto Restoration”; Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice.
