Nell Carlson DAHLBERG At age 84, Nell Dahlberg passed away on May 9, 2007 with her family by her side. Born Nell Carlson on July 12, 1922, she grew up on Queen Anne, attended John May Elementary and graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1940. Her mother, Allowilda Carlson, was a 1901 graduate of the University of Washington's teacher training program; her father, Will Carlson, owned Carlson Insurance Agency in downtown Seattle. In 1942 Nell married Bob Dahlberg. They were married for 59 years until his death in 2001. They lived on Magnolia and raised three children, Scott Dahlberg (Carmen), Diane Hanks (John) and Joni Dawson (Dave). Nell is remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her husband and children. She was always smiling and eager to interact with family and anyone else in her line of sight with warmth and a kind word. She was thrilled to have four grandchildren (Jenny/Brian, Russell, Kate and Dan) and three great-grandchildren in California (Nicholas, Brennan and Samantha) with another great-grandchild due in October.
