GUN SHOT ENDS MAN'S LIFE

Edgar Lewis Hansen, 40, died Friday at 9:45 a.m. at a Salt Lake hospital, the victim of a gunshot wound in the head.
Mr. Hansen, who resided at 568 West Second North street, was found early Wednesday near 1000 North Redwood Road, a .22 caliber bullet wound in his head. The gun was lying by his side.
Detectives Lester F. Wire and W. E. Eggleston said the wound was self-inflicted.
Mr. Hansen was born in Idaho, October 3, 1898, a son of Rasmuss and Anna Jensen Hansen. He had lived here for several years and was an automobile mechanic by trade.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Caroline Bulkley Hansen; two daughters, Helen Leone Hansen and LaWana Fay Hansen of Salt Lake City; his father, who resides in Kaysville; three brothers, Rasmuss Hansen Jr. of Meridian, Idaho; Ezra Hansen of Hazelton, Idaho; and Alfred L. Hansen of Kaysville; six sisters, Mrs. W. M. Hansen of Acequia, Idaho; Mrs. F. L. Jones of Burley, Idaho; Mrs. T. R. Morris of Kaysville; Mrs. Alma M. Woods of Meridian, Idaho; Mrs. Clifford Bulkley of West Jordan; and Mrs. Gilbert Baxter of American Fork.
