Gordon Dale Powell, born November 12, 1930, in Eminence, Missouri, to the late Nova McAfee and Flynn Powell. He departed this life on Monday, February 11, 2019, at his residence in Bunker, Missouri, with his loving wife by his side. Gordon had attained the age of eighty-eight years, two months and thirty days.
On January 5, 1954, Gordon was united in marriage to Vivian Jeremiah in Fulton County, Arkansas. To this union two children were born.
Gordon served from 1952 to 1956 in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Lesterville V.F.W., an avid hunter and had the Fox Pen in Bunker.
Gordon loved to spend time with his kids and grandkids.
On February 5, 2019, Pastor Bill Stack guided Gordon to accept the Lord into his life.
In addition to his parents, Gordon is preceded in death by his two brothers Jimmy Powell and Doug Keeling.
Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-five years, Vivian Powell of Bunker, Missouri; two sons, Richard “Rick” Powell and wife Janice of Bunker, Missouri and Bruce Powell and wife Patty of Salem, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Nathan Powell, Stacey Powell, Cody Powell, Natasha Johnson, Seth Barnhill, Jennah Olimat, Kasum Olimat, and Nina Underdown; four great-grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Waylon Powell, Mica Powell and Maci Powell; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 12, 2019, at 5:00 pm in the 1st Baptist Church in Bunker.
Funeral: Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 11:00 am at the 1st Baptist Church in Bunker.
Clergy: Pastor Tom Wisdom assisted by Bill Stack
Burial: New Eminence Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Nathan Powell, Elmer Powell, Stacey Powell, Walter Powell, Jim Keeling, Keith Powell, and Waylon Powell.
