Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Rock Island. Burial, with military honors, will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Memorial Christian Church, Moline.
Earl was born February 15, 1931 in Rock Island, a son of Edgar and Bessie Conway Dreon. He married Charlene Milligan on December 18, 1954 in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War.
Earl was employed with the City of Rock Island for 31 years, retiring as sewage treatment operator.
He was a member of Memorial Christian Church, Moline. Earl enjoyed fishing, sports, and was an avid bowler. He loved to make people laugh, and will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor.
Surviving are his wife, Charlene, of Rock Island; brother-in-law, Ray (Joy) Milligan, Arlington, Tex.; many nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Juanita Hughes and Geraldine Brown; and brother, Carl Dreon.
