A highly respected citizen of this district. Albert Culp, died on Monday, Septenber 17th, 1945. In the Ontario Hospital, Hamilton, in his 76 year. The deceased had not been well for the past twenty years. Born in Rainham Township on March 6th, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Culp, his educating was gained in that district. In younger years he was a laborer working working at various trades, and was very well known throughout this district as the leader of an Old Tyme Orchestra, which was greatly in demand for dances, garden parties, etc. He was not a member of any fraternal organizations. On December 19th 1894, he was united in marriage to Miss Malowie Foster, who survives him, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Foster, Forks Road. Also surviving are one brother, Milan Culp of Port Maitland, a sister, Mrs Mabel Tyron of Chicago, Ill, six daughters (Clara) Mrs. William Elliot of Jarvis, (Madeline) Mrs. James Barrey, Miss Nellie Culp, (Julia) Mrs. Thomas Roddy, (Doris) Mrs. Ernest Pozzo, (Vivian) Mrs. Stanley Mellen, all of Dunnville, and two sons Cleveland and William of Dunnville.
The funeral was held from the residence, 536 South Cayuga First Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Riverside cemetery, Dunnville. The pall bearers were Douglas Culp, Keith Culp, Josh Pinnegar, Gordon Pinnegar, Merle Elliot, all grandchildern of deceased, and John Drinkwater, nephew.
