Rita Ann Briggs, 66, passed away and went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2019. She was born on August 1, 1952 to Alfred and Magdalene Zimmerman, she also had two brothers, Marvin and Norman. She was a 1970 graduate of W.B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, and also a graduate of Del Mar Technical Institute and Stevenson’s Beauty College. Her trophies were her three boys, along with her immediate family and Danny Briggs: he was the father of her children. She thanks Danny for having three fine sons.

The loves of her life were God, her old friends in Corpus Christi, the beach, music, and dancing. She liked exercising, riding bicycles, and the simple things in life. She loved reading while spending time both indoors and outdoors. She was also very fond of her pets and other animals. While living in Victoria she made several close friends. She thanks Danny for being a good provider for the boys and herself. She loved her daughters-in-law along with her precious grandchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews. She loved her sisters-in-law and her brothers-in-law.

She wanted to thank Mrs. Pauline Walden and family for being such a great blessing to her and many others. She really enjoyed spending summers at Walden’s Pool with her boys. A big “thank you” goes out to the employees at Warrior Supply and Warrior Pipeline for letting her son, Ted, off of work to tend to her affairs. People meant more to her in life than anything.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2019 at Rosewood Funeral Chapel from 5-6:30 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7 PM by Rev. Kristopher Fuchs.
