Rex Thornton Pace was born on September 26, 1905 to John Granville and Nellie Lunt Thornton Pace.He was the 5th child and second boy. He was 14 years old when he was riding his horse on a full gallup and came uppon a gate that is supposed to be never closed, but on that fateful day it was closed and the horse stop short at the closed gate and Rex went flying over the gate and hit his head on a rock. He was taken home and died a while later on August 12, 1919
He was preceided in death by his two sisters: Anna and Mary Pace.
He is survived by his heartbreaking parents, two brothers, Legrand Thornton, John Anthon, four sisters, Vera, Helen. Maxine, Eva May.
