Bridget Neafsey was born in Castleshanaghan, Swinford Parish, County Mayo, Ireland, in 1844, to John Neafsey and Catherine Margaret Noone. Her father died the month before her birth and her mother subsequently married Patrick Roache the following year. The family migrated to England in about 1848. In 1866, Bridget Married Edward John Jennings in Walsall, Staffordshire, England. Her husband worked as a miner. Three children were born in England, John, Edward and Martin, before the family migrated to Ellen Gowan in Schuylkill County, PA, where three more children, Catherine, James, and Mary were born. Bridget died in 1903 as a result of an accidental fall. She was predeceased by her sons Edward and James and survived by husband Edward and children John, Martin, Catherine and Mary.
