Casey Lee Rector of Vanderbilt pulled a fast one on us all and left this rock on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the age of 32. We're not sure of all the details, but we can be sure he had a smile on his face and a joke on the tip of his tongue.

Casey was born on August 20, 1986 in Wharton, Texas to Cathy and Robert Rector, Jr. He was a graduate of Industrial High School in 2004 from Vanderbilt where he played baseball and tasteless pranks on citizens in the surrounding area. If your neighborhood was missing a stop sign, chances are he took it. Casey enjoyed many activities, including, but not limited to; fishing, beer, golf, beer, screeching loudly at random times, beer, locking the windows after farting. oh yes, did I mention beer?!

Casey worked in the Petrochemical Inspection Industries, though sitting on his butt and browsing fishing websites all day was probably the most he accomplished, outside of the time while working on the road in West Virginia when he met a Hooker. No, Misty was not THAT type of Hooker, that was her maiden name. After charming Misty with his ridiculous pick-up lines and a pop-ring, she said yes. Casey convinced Misty to move down to Texas with him, where they settled down in Vanderbilt with their two sons. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. He'd go above and beyond to help family and friends, and even strangers.

Casey is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Nancy and Ernest Tresselt, and his paternal grandfather; Robert Rector, Sr., and sadly his left pinky finger.

There will be a visitation on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Slavik Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 12:30 pm with the Funeral Service beginning at 2:00 pm with Brother Jack Hutson of Vanderbilt Baptist Church officiating.

The services have been entrusted to Russell Todish of Slavik Funeral Home, 209 N. Allen St., Edna, TX 77957, 361-782-2152.

High Fives and Low Fours, Bobby.
