Lynda Baker Clark, 93, of Orange, died Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Dogwood Village of Orange senior living in Orange. She was born on August 17, 1921, in Lahore, a daughter of the late Linnaeus M. and Elizabeth Terrell Baker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Clark; brothers, Lin, Joseph, Robert, and Richard Baker; and sisters, Jane Smith, Mary Feldman, and Louise Shealy. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Macedonia Church, where she served as treasurer, a member of the American Legion Post 156 and U.S. Army veteran. Mrs. Clark is survived by, a brother, William Baker of Orange; two sisters, Ann Tomlinson and husband, Zeke, of Orange, Barbara Elmore of Orange; and many nieces, and nephews. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the Preddy Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with inurnment at the North Pamunkey Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. The Rev. Kathryn Hull and the Rev. Olin Herndon will officiate. The family received friends from 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff and employees of the Dogwood Village and a special thanks to Shirley Terrell for all their loving care. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family with arrangements.
