Thomas O. Jefferson, age 77 of Bridgeville, DE, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Lewes, DE, on August 11, 1941, son of the late George and Margaret Jefferson.

Mr. Jefferson attended Bridgeville High School, after which he proudly served in the US Army. He was the owner and operator of Timmons Amusements, a family business in Bridgeville. Mr. Jefferson was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Seaford American Legion, and Seaford VFW. He was a fan of NASCAR, as well being an avid fan and supporter of Woodbridge football and baseball. More than anything, Mr. Jefferson enjoyed time spent with his cherished family. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jefferson was preceded in death by his brothers: Ervin Jefferson, George Jefferson, and Jack Jefferson; his sisters: Joyce Ann Seabrease and Katherine Flaig; his grandson, Gabriel I. Jefferson; his daughter-in-law, Tammy Hastings and his first wife Joyce Willin. He is survived by his sons: Thomas Oliver Jefferson, Jr. (Lisa) of Bridgeville, DE, Elmer Sidney Jefferson (Tena Mills) of Galestown, MD, and Timothy P. Jefferson (Teresa Clayville) of Bridgeville, DE; his daughter, Laura Beth Jefferson of Bridgeville, DE; his wife, Frances J. Jefferson; his step-sons: Michael D. Hastings of Bridgeville, DE and Mark L. Hastings (Sherry) of Bridgeville, DE; his step-daughter, Rachael J. Keefe (John) of Bridgeville, DE; his 17 grandchildren; his 18 great-grandchildren; his brothers: Bobby Lee Jefferson, Richard Jefferson, and William Jefferson, all of Bridgeville, DE; and his many nieces and nephews.
