Early Life: Corinne "Connie" was born September 19, 1928, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur Charles and Nona Revo Hatton Brown. Her early years were spent in Scipio, Richfield, and then Fillmore, Utah. She attended school in Fillmore until moving to Cedar City, Utah, with her family where she finished her senior year and graduated from Cedar High School in 1946.
Life’s Work | Service | Interests: In May 1950, Connie graduated from BAC (now SUU) with a B.S. degree in education. She then became an elementary school teacher in the Cedar City. Later, she moved to California to continue teaching. Connie married Dee C. Grenawalt in the Saint George Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 27, 1958. They had one son, John Arthur Grenawalt. Corinne continued to teach in the Los Angeles and Redlands School Districts until her retirement. She was loved by her students for her gentle, kind nature. Corinne "Connie" Brown Grenawalt died in Provo, Utah, at the home of her sister, Marilyn Watt, with whom she had been living for the past few years. She was 90 years old.
Survived By: Her sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Gary Watt, of Provo; her sister-in-law, Diane Brown (Gaylen), of Cedar City; brother-in-law, Darrell Foote (Barbara), of Reno, NV; and 26 nephews and nieces for whom she is certainly a favorite aunt.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband; her son; three brothers: Rodney, Gaylen and Raymon Brown; and a sister, Barbara Foote.
