Dorothy Brewer was born on May 9, 1937, the fourth of ten children born to Perry and Pearlie Green in Haynesville, La. In 1960, she met and married Willie Bill Brewer. Dorothy united early in life with Mt Hebron Baptist Church and later with Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Alvin, Texas under the pastoral leadership of Rev. Donald Archie.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, five brothers, James Douglas Green, Clarence Willard Green, John Calvin Green, Herman Green, Earnest Paul Green, Lonnie Tate (Brother in Law), M.G. Brady (Brother in Law) and her great-grandchild, Drew Anthony Nicholson. Dorothy loved to travel back and forth to her hometown. She was an avid gardener, she loved her roses and flowers. She loved sports and supported her favorite Teams whether they won or lost. She was an outstanding cook and most of all she was our rock and loved taking care of everyone in her Family.

Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Diane Green Dixon, Sandra Green Prater (Joseph Prater) and one son, Boris Brewer (Sheryl Brewer). Her grandchildren, LaShundra Dawn Johnson (Rev Kendrick Johnson) and James Ashley Grant; great grandchildren, Dylan Andrew Nicholson, Rahyan Jamison Grant, Kenan Johnson, Ashlyn Raiyne Grant and Kassidy D'yani Johnson; two sisters, Margie Jean Tate, Helen Jane Green-Brady; two Brothers, Leonard Ray Green (Ella B. Green), Glen Dullin Green (Gracie Green); four sisters-in law, Alice Green, Odessa Green, Daisy Green, Mary Green and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
