Glen Allen Diercks, 73 of Red Wing, died peacefully Saturday, January 26th at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN with the support of his family. He was born December 10th, 1945 to Leonard and Geneva Diercks in Red Wing, MN. Glen grew up and attended grade school in Hager City, Wisconsin and High School in Ellsworth, Wisconsin. Glen farmed in rural Pierce County, auctioneered part time and worked for over 30 years at SB Foot Tanning Company in Red Wing, MN. Glen was united in marriage to the love of his life, Judith Ann Bang on April 6th, 1974. In 1987, both Glen and his Judy, attended the Wisconsin Auction School in Wisconsin Dells, WI where Glen graduated with the honor of being the "Outstanding Auctioneer" of the graduating class. Glen enjoyed collecting John Deere tractors and spending time with his wife, Judy, and their son, Dan. Glen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Wing, MN.

Glen was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2015 and kidney failure in 2016 along with other illnesses in the past several years. After a long battle, the Lord took Glen peacefully. Glen is survived by his son Dan of Red Wing. Glen was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Judy, two sisters, and two brothers.

A celebration of Glen's life will be at the First United Methodist Church in Red Wing, MN on February 7th at 11:00am, with visitation one hour prior to service. Memorials are preferred to the First Methodist Church of Red Wing. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red wing and in Rochester, MN for the excellent care they provided for Glen.
