Kenny was born on January 4, 1948 in Kirksville, Missouri to John T. (Jack) and Kathryn Mendenhall-Morris. He married Paula McFarland at Sperry, Missouri and two children were born to this marriage; Rhonda Morris (Jones) and Ronald Morris. They divorced in 1979. Kenney is survived by his wife Corina, of the home, and a brother Terry Morris of O’Fallon, Missouri. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren: Brent Jones, Kelsey Jones, Marcus Morris, Jerrico Morris, Danielle Morris, Madison Morris, Davidson Garrett, Gabrielle Chapman, Shane Chapman, Taz Seavey, Tazlene Seavey, Richlene Seavey, Tarae Boston, Tiffany Boston (now Emily Reinsch), Alex Boston, Mikayla Williams, Janae Riddle and Garen Broyles. Two great-grandchildren: Aubrie Miller and Waylon Morris, father and mother in-law; Tom and Ruby Weigel of Iowa. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and brother James Morris.
Kenny was a lifelong resident of Sullivan County. He was a graduate of Milan High School in 1967. He was in the United States Army from 1968-1974 and served in Vietnam where he was sprayed by Agent Orange and lived his life with the effects. He served as an ordained minister from 1973-1979. He also worked and ConAgra and Banquet Foods. He was currently retired and a disabled Veteran.
Kenny was an active member of the American Legion Post 228, the Milan Assembly of God Church (now Cornerstone Church) in Milan. He was previously a member of the Milan Rebekah Lodge 435.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM, Monday January 28 at Schoene Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, MMMissouriMissouri. Interment will follow the service with full Military Rites at the Owasco Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 27, 2019, from 6 – 8 PM at Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan.
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Kenny Morris may be made the Milan Legion Post # 288.
