Born October 19, 1939 in Inman, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Carrie Lucille Roddy Bishop; wife of Robert C. Powell.
Member of Progress Baptist Church of Hendersonville, NC and was a homemaker.
Also surviving are sons, Timothy Powell (Kim) of Boiling Springs and James Powell (Jamie) of Pacolet; granddaughters, Katie, Katlyne, Nicole, and Miranda; grandson, Tracey of Spartanburg; and a sister, Lenora Greenway (Joe) of Inman.
Predeceased by a son, Robert Powell; sisters, Loraine Jenkins and Gail Waldrop.
Visitation was 1:00 – 1:45 PM, Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church, 390 Wingo Heights Road, Spartanburg, SC.
Funeral service was 2:00 PM at the church, conducted by The Rev. Doug Raynes. Burial followed in Fort Prince Memorial Gardens, 125 Fort Prince Road, Wellford, SC.
