Eva Jane Baker, 75, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019. She was born June 2, 1943 to the late Thomas William and Gertie Irene Manning Haynes. She attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Ms. Baker loved to cook (and she was good at it!). She loved being Nanny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Shaunathan Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alabama Kidney Foundation, 265 Riverchase Parkway East, Suite 106, Birmingham, AL 35244 or Liberty Hill Baptist Church, c/o Ruby Baker, 1295 Skyline Avenue East, Fort Payne, AL 35967.

She is survived by her daughters Pam Eberhart and Janice Hodson and husband, Kent; brother Ray Haynes and wife, Alice; sister Carolyn Hancock and husband, Billy; sisters-in-law Melba Baker and Jonnie Justice; grandchildren Jordan and Macy Kelley, Meagan and Lamar Richerzhagen, and John and Bailey Eberhart; great-grandchildren Cason Greene, Maylee Greene, and Lizzy Jane Kelley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Mike Eberhart.
