Jean was born and raised in Ripon, WI. She enjoyed a normal, active, and happy childhood developing lasting relationships. After graduating from Ripon High School in 1952, she moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she met her husband, Harry W. Rodgers. During their 49 year marriage, they had two children; a son, Patrick, and a daughter, Beth. They moved a few times within Wisconsin and even lived in Texas for 6 years. Their final move brought them to Kaukauna.
Jean was a very accomplished quilter, active in her church, the Red Hatters, and enjoyed playing card games. She greatly enjoyed Thanksgiving and Easter holidays and loved having family and friends at her house during those times.
She is survived by her children, Beth (Perry) and Patrick (Reneé); granddaughters, Elizabeth, Casey, and Samantha. Three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her cousin, Earl. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Rodgers; brothers, Melvin and Truman, and her sister, Ruth.
The funeral service for Jean will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th St., Kaukauna.
