She attended Tell City High School and retired from Western Electric after nearly 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with friends playing euchre in her younger years, but just loved having people around to visit and spend quality time together. Above all else, Verna was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being around family, whether that was camping at the lake or spending time at home, she cherished the memories that were made.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Robert A. Fugit; children, Diane Stanley and James A. “Jim” Fugit (Rose); grandchildren, Lisa Satterthwaite (Jared) and Cpl. Austin Fugit, USMC; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Luke Satterthwaite; and brother, Louis Kuntz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 6 siblings.
Service entrusted to Flanner Buchanan - Memorial Park.
