GRAHAM - Mr. Wade T. Brooks, Sr., 89, formerly of Graham died at Liberty Commons on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:30 a.m.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Patricia Seamon Brooks, who survives and the son of William Tell Brooks and Ruby Rogers Brooks, both deceased. Mr. Brooks was a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving during World War II. He retired from Alcatel Lucent and was a member of Graham Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter, Terry Brooks Scruggs and husband Tom of Durham; son, Wade "Tommy" Brooks, Jr. of Burlington; two step-sons, Stephen Marke Bradshaw of Graham and James Timothy Bradshaw of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Bowden, Carolyn Murphy, Mary Ellen Hanford and Billie Payne and one brother, Roger Brooks.

A memorial service will be conducted at Graham Presbyterian Church on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. by Dr. Steve Braswell.
