Wilhelmina lived in Kiendleville now known as the "Spring Creek" section of Brooklyn which is essentially the very southern end of East New York. Her house was right there at the "foot of Crescent Street" (south end) which is where the Kiendleville Creek ran at the location of the "Old Mill" which was constructed by Jacob Van Wicklen. (now a sewage treatment plant).

It is interesting to note that many of the older homes (some still standing) in this area have their front doors significantly below street level as the roads were raised in this area due to flooding.
