Mrs. Mildred Marie Thomas McDaniel, daughter of the late Eugene and Marie Thomas, was born November 2, 1939 in Munnerlyn, Ga. She transitioned to the loving hands of God on October 14, 2018.
She is survived by her husband, John McDaniel; her children, D'Andrea McDaniel of Norcross, GA and John "Tony" McDaniel (Neida) of Lawrenceville, GA; granddaughters, Jessenia and Lily McDaniel; sisters, Dorothy Mobley of Savannah, GA, Dora Hunter of Augusta, Ga, Eva T. Kinsey and Mary R. Flournoy (Leroy) of Atlanta, GA; best friend, Alice Ruth Peters; "adopted" daughter, Brigitte Garner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Elim Baptist Church, 2359 Mount Auburn Avenue, Reverend George C. Miller, III, pastor, Reverend Unisah Conteh, presiding. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park. The remains will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
