Scott A. Shidler, 52, of Medaryville, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. He passed away at his home. Scott was born on November 9, 1966 in Lafayette, IN to Ralph and Elvira (Gutwein) Shidler. Scott graduated from West Central High School in 1985. He received an Associate's Degree from Vincennes University.
Scott was a member of the Francesville Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion and Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Scott had worked as a Deputy for the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department and as an EMT for Pulaski County EMS. He also had worked with his dad at Medaryville Hardware. Scott enjoyed serving others and was a hard worker. He was an avid IU basketball fan.
Scott was a loving and devoted son and brother. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his parents; three brothers; one nephews; one niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Lamp.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Francesville, IN with Pastor Dennis Gutwein officiating. Burial at Buck Cemetery in Thornhope, IN will take place at a later date.
