Ms. Mary Eilleen Dotson of Campbellsville passed from this life on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. Daughter of Linda (Dotson) Shepherd, she was 32 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ, and was of the Baptist faith. Ms. Dotson suffered many physical hindrances during her life, but her love for her family and friends never waned. She had a soft spot for sick animals, and nursed many a stray back to health. She leaves to mourn her passing Her mother, two siblings, an aunt that helped raise her as a mother and caregiver, two uncles, nieces and nephews, and several other family members and close friends. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Rosemary Dotson, her great-grandmother, Lillie Karnes, and an uncle, Dean Dotson. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Dotson on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L. R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Burial will follow in the Otter Creek Cemetery. Bro. Joe Milby will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Jan 18, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
