Pam was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1969. She worked in the garment industry of Ritchie County as a presser for Economy Industries of Harrisville, WV and also at the former Chancey’s Dairyette of Harrisville, WV. Pam was also a loving and devoted homemaker for her family. She is a current member of Riddles Chapel of Harrisville, WV and a former member of the Highland Community Church and the Middle Ridge Baptist Church.
Pam was a member of the Ellenboro Fire Dept. Ladies Aux. and was a board member of the former Ellenboro Glass Festival for many years. She served as den mother for Ritchie County cub scouts and a volunteer for Twilight Twirlers and she was a poll worker for elections in Ritchie County for over 30 years. She was very active in sporting events of Pennsboro High School and Ritchie County Athletics and she was very active in her grandkids sporting events. She loved bingo, shopping, the beach, and was an avid fan of both WVU and the Steelers.
She is survived by her children, Chad Barnes (Katie) of Marietta, OH; Jeremy Barnes of Ellenboro, WV; Christopher Barnes (Tonya) of Shinnston, WV, and Hannah DeMoss (Mark) of Ellenboro, WV; grandchildren, Zachary Barnes, Laura Barnes, Jocelyn Lamp, Brayden Lamp, Lila Barnes; 4 step grandchildren; sister, Patricia Guice (Mike) of Parkersburg, WV; nephews, Billy Freeland (Misty) of Winfield, WV; Casey Guice (Crystal) of Parkersburg, WV; Kevin Freeland of Winchester, VA; niece, Katie Freeland of Winchester, VA, and special friends, Belle Stout and Donna Collins both of Ellenboro, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Roger Barnes in 2014 and her brother, William Freeland.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Friday, January 18, 2019, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, WV with Pastor Dan Martin and Pastor Samuel Lambert officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Thursday, at the funeral home.
