"Local Happenings"
William T. Tuttle, aged 76 years, 5 months and 11 days, a resident of this section for many years, died at his home in this city last Friday of heart disease. He lived for many years in the Pleasant Valley community, but of late had been making his home in Goldendale. Funeral services were held Monday forenoon, from the Pleasant Valley school house, followed by interment in the cemetery at that place. Rev. Clipp, of Wenatchee, conducted the services. An obituary appears elsewhere.

OBITUARY
William Thomas Tuttle was born Sept. 28, 1847, in Wapello county, Iowa, and died in Goldendale May 9, 1924, the span of this earth's life being 76 years, 5 months and 11 days.
He was married April 7, 1867, to Miss Margaret Shell, who preceded him to the spirit world two years ago.
This union was blessed with 11 children - four boys and seven girls. Four of the girls died in infancy. The four sons of living are Ira J., Mart, Edward and Frank. Mrs. Minnie Beeks and Mrs. Bessie Emerson are the two daughters living.
He enlisted in the service of his country in 1861, belonging to the 23 regiment, Co. B., Iowa, and served until the close of the war, receiving a honorable discharge. He came from Kansas to Washington 32 years ago. He enlisted in the service of his Master in June, 1895. Mr. Tuttle leaves the following brothers and sisters: Augustus, at Kennewick, Wash.; Mrs. Mary Stacy, St. John, Kansas; Mrs. Patsy Mitchell, Sheridan, Iowa; Mrs. Jennie Shelton, Goldendale; and James Tuttle, Goldendale.
Funeral services were held Monday, from the Pleasant Valley school house, followed by interment in the cemetery at that place, Rev. Clipp of Wenatchee, conducting the services.
