Marvin E. Fletcher age 85 of the Town of Buena Vista, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday April 14, 2018.
Services for Marvin will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the Plover - Shuda Funeral Home, 2400 Plover Road in Plover. Pastor Jim Verkest will officiate. Friends and family will gather to share memories from 9:00 Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Liberty Corners Cemetery at a later date.
Marvin was born September 9, 1932 in Buena Vista, the son of George and Esther (Sitzer) Fletcher. He graduated from P.J.Jacobs High School in 1950. He worked on the family farm all his life, most recently running it with his brother. Marvin served in the National Guard from 1954-1961. He married Judith Barden on October 31, 1959 at Buena Vista Methodist Church where he was a lifelong member. Marvin enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing pool, traveling, going to the casino, watching sports, being with his 3 grandsons and great grandson, fishing , hunting, and most of all being with family.
He is survived by his wife Judith, and their two children: Kyle Fletcher and Paula (Rick) Miller. 3 grandsons: Ross, Ryan, and Reid Miller. His great grandson Carter Olsen. His brother Norman (Lavon) Fletcher and his sister-in-law Marcia Fletcher. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Randall and Maurice, and sister-in-law Myrtle Fletcher.
