The gates of heaven again have swung earth-ward and another child of God has entered within the portals. Wilhelmina Augusta Ross was born in Schneidemuchl, Germany, May 15, 1850. When but a young girl she left her native land for America, coming to the state of Wisconsin in 1875, and in 1878, at Fon du Lac, Wis., was married to Charles August Straube, and to this union were born eight children, four sons and four daughters. Two sons proceeded her in infancy. Those who survive her are her husband, Fritz, Wilhelm, Anna and Bettie at home, with their father, and Mrs. J. Perkins and Mrs. Robert Volgamore, who live near home.

Mrs. Straube was 59 years 5 months and 17 days old at the time of her death. She was a noble woman, a kind and loving mother, and her death is mourned by multitudes of friends besides the grief stricken members of the family and the sorring relatives.

The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Bethel church, the funeral services were held, by Rev. G. Klatt pastor of the German Lutheran church and assisted by Rev. P. A. Davies pastor of the Presbyterian church, both of Stamford. From the Stamford Post.
