Jayson B. Johnson, 40, of Fort Dodge, passed away at his home on Saturday, January 5, 2019.

A memorial service for Jayson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Carson ~ Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton, Iowa. A private family burial will be held at a later date at West Lawn Cemetery in Lehigh, Iowa.

Jayson Bryson Johnson, son of Randall Johnson and Kathleen Darrah was born on January 30, 1978 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He received his education at Central Webster Community School in Burnside. Following his education, he was a handyman in the area. Jayson was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed cooking and volunteered at the Salvation Army.

Survivors include his two sons, Lane Brennan of Dayton, IA., Caleb Dodd of Boone, IA; his parents, Kathleen Darrah and Randy Johnson both of Lehigh; sister, Heather Clay of Midlothian, TX; four uncles and one aunt, Mitch Johnson, Mike Johnson, Mike and Leisa Darrah, Doug Darrah; and many cousins. Jayson is also survived by his loving companion, Tawny Thoma of Fort Dodge, IA.

He was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
