They were married shortly after the 1870 Census of the Leitchfield Precinct in Grayson County. By the 1880 census of Short Creek they were the parents of: Henry Price, age 7, Jackson, age 6, William R., age 2, and Joseph T., age 1. Their daughter Olive was born on June 30, 1875. She does not appear in the 1880 census. Children born after 1880 were Herman in 1881, Hardy B. in 1883, and Cladis H. in 1887.
Lewis D. Duggins died in Grayson County at the age of 80 on November 18, 1930. He was buried in the Taylor Cemetery near Leitchfield, Kentucky. His widow Sarah joined him there after her death at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 21 days on March 19, 1935.
