Orville G. Griffith, 63, died at Hillcrest Hospital, Tulsa, Okla. at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
He was born at Mack's Creek, Mo., Nov. 18, 1901, son of the late Thomas W. and Della Griffith.
His boyhood and early life was spent in Pettis County. He had lived in Tulsa for the past thirty years.
Mr. Griffith was a veteran of World War II, serving four years, including time spent in the South Pacific Theater.
He is survived by one son, Robert W. Griffith, Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Miss JoAnn Griffith, Anchorage, Alaska; Mrs. Dorothy Sue Pottroff, Ft. Worth, Tex.; four brothers, Othel Griffith, Smithton; Lorren Griffith, 641 East 11th; Murrell Griffith, 32nd and Grand; and Sterling Griffith, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Mamie Cramer, 1711 1/2 West Tenth; and Mrs. Olevia DeJarnett, 401 North Prospect.
The body will be brought to Ewing Funeral Home Thursday. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
